Polyamide and melamine kitchenware

The courses were attended by Port Health Officers and Public Analysts and provided guidance on the performance of official controls on imports of these goods from China and Hong Kong.

From 1st July imports of polyamide (nylon) and melamine kitchenware from China/Hong Kong must be pre-notified to the first point of introduction and accompanied by a written declaration and supporting laboratory reports to demonstrate compliance with Regulation (EC) 10/2011.
