Food Law Refresher
Who should attend?
The "Return to Work" course has been designed to help delegates to achieve the competency requirements set out in the Food Law Code of Practice for food hygiene enforcement.

It will be of value to:
- Officers who are returning to food hygiene inspection work from other disciplines;
- Contractors who wish to undertake inspection work for local authorities;
- Apprentices
- Delegates returning to food hygiene enforcement after a career break or maternity leave and;
- Those who wish to fill some gaps in their knowledge to meet the requirements of the competency framework.
The course will also be of interest to support staff who wish to gain an insight into this area of work.
About the Programme
The course aims to provide an overview of food enforcement. The course will help delegates to:
- Gain a working knowledge of food hygiene law, general food law and imported food law.
- Undertake effective food hygiene inspections of food businesses.
- Take appropriate enforcement decisions with regard to legislation and Codes of practice.
