Environmental Health Officer/Food & Safety Officer

East Hampshire District Council are looking for a qualified ambitious and innovative EHO/Food & Safety Officer, looking for a new opportunity in a busy Food and Safety team.  You will have proven experience to carry out food hygiene and health and safety inspections, communicable disease, complaint and accident investigations.

You will also have an important role in offering advice, guidance and support to businesses to achieve compliance in these matters.

Previous experience in the regulatory or public health environment is essential.  However, the post is career graded so applicants at the start of their career as well as those with more experience will be considered for the post.

You must be self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise your work. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be a great team player. You will need a full UK driving license and access to a car while at work.

The position will comprise a hybrid style of working, as a mix of both home and office-based working, to suit the work / life balance of the successful applicant.
