Environmental Health Manager

Chorley Council work very closely with South Ribble Council, and the successful candidate will support the Shared South Ribble & Chorley Head Of Public Protection and Environmental Health to deliver the Environmental Health function in Chorley.

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health Manager to look after our dedicated generic Environmental Health Officers, covering Private sector housing, Food safety enforcement, Environmental Protection and Health and Safety enforcement.

The team work very closely with Public Protection team who deliver the Council Community Safety function.

As an experienced manager you will be responsible for allocating and monitoring service requests, working closely with the food safety lead for the team to deliver the food safety program, delivering corporate projects as and when required, managing financial systems ensuring that Environmental Health corporate risks are adequately controlled and ensuring the health and safety of your colleagues.
