Level 4 Food Hygiene (Manufacturers)

Who should attend?

This course is Level 4 HABC accredited and is aimed at persons who already hold or aspire to management positions in the food industry including quality managers, technical managers and compliance managers. It will also be of great value to operations, production, engineering, logistics and other management staff who need a more detailed understanding of food hygiene matters.

Course duration

The courses are taught over 5 days with another day for assessments.

Courses start at 09:30 (Registration 09:00) and end at 16:30 each day.

Course specification


The course fee of £495 + vat (£594 inc vat) per person includes:

  • Comprehensive course materials
  • A copy of the course textbook “Hygiene for Management” by Richard Sprenger
  • Lunch and refreshments
  • All assessment fees


The course will be delivered in our Executive Box at Norwich City Football Club overlooking the pitch. All courses are run in small groups (max 10) to allow good interaction with the tutor.


There is ample free parking on site and the venue is a short walk from Norwich station (London Liverpool St line).There is a Holiday Inn hotel on site and both Premier Inn and Travelodge hotels within a short walk.


The tutor will be Dr Andy Bowles. Andy has over 30 years experience in food safety gained in industry, enforcement and academia. He regularly runs training courses for Environmental Health and Trading Standards Officers as well for clients in the food industry.

Course dates

The course is delivered over 5 Mondays in October with the exam held on Monday 6th November:

Day 1: Monday 2nd October

Day 2: Monday 9th October

Day 3: Monday 16th October

Day 4: Monday 23rd October

Day 5:Monday 30th October

Exam: Monday 6th November
